U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) delivered remarks on the 100th anniversary of the confrontation known as Notre Dame vs. the KKK. On May 17-19, 1924, the Ku Klux Klan rallied in South Bend with the intention of intimidating Catholics. During a three-day show of resistance, students from the University of Notre Dame confronted members of the KKK.

On April 25, U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) joined National Science Foundation (NSF) Director Dr. Sethuraman Panchanathan at Purdue University. They met with students and joined Purdue President Mung Chiang to cut the ribbon on new groundbreaking enhancements to the Birck Nanotechnology Center in Purdue’s Discovery Park District. Senator Young, Director Panchanathan, and President Chiang also participated in a fireside chat about AI and semiconductors.

The NSCEB is a national commission that will shape U.S. Government activities regarding biotechnology and provide recommendations to Congress and the federal government on the national security implications of biotechnology.

Based at the Purdue Research Park, 34 Lives is working to develop technology and services to extend the safe preservation times of kidneys. Every day, approximately 34 patients are removed from the transplant waiting list because they die or become too sick to receive a transplant.
